    3) complaints about the site, fouls and clinching.....Ward has fought 2 times this year and there was no excessive usage of any sort. reaching for straws not there,. When has Ward ever needed shady judging to win a fight?

    4) They never give any tactical reason why Kovalev would beat him. they say his chin is weak, but he has only been dropped once and that was 10 years ago...again...reaching. How is he going to outbox him, or get him out of there? explain please!!!

    5) they say he is past prime, not even noticing Kovalev is older and looked less than spectacular himself in beating chilemba who is no where near wards talent or know how.
So you don't think ward wouldn't be a bit more exciting if he committed to punches a little more, and gave the feel that he could hurt or ko his opponents? Or if he applied pressure without smothering on the inside? I mean the guy has all the talent in the world, but he's not the most dynamic, and fights with no killer instinct. I mean it's understandable why he doesn't have a big fan base. If only simply winning was enough to captivate audiences and gain fans.

thats my point.....they trash ward, but give no reason why kovalev beats him....i think they are just on Kov's bandwagon in hopes he can rid them of ward....i like both guys, i just think Ward wins, if Kov wins, he is the man and # 1 p4p...no excuses.

may the best man win...its very rare to see two of your favs fight each other. totally different styles and in their prime.

If Ward beats Kov 10-2 clearly, Ward is definitely no question an ELITE talent same if Kov catches/KO's Ward. I just think people discrediting either guy before or after the outcome is disrespectful to both their talents. I dont care for Kovalev but I acknowledge his skill & danger, same should go for Kovalev fans of Ward. If this wasnt a LHW fight, I would say this would be a lackluster win by Ward but every punch hurts at 175, even those who think Ward dont hit hard are crazy. The odds are better for Kov to KO ward than Vice versa but speed kills and if Ward angles a left hook on Kovs jaw then it could be good night or if Ward angles into a right cross Ward could fall through the ropes. Im excited about this fight! p4p 2 of the best, hopefully the winner gets Stevenson.

Yea no ****. Its not like we haven't seen this before. This exact thing happened with Floyd to a much higher degree than its happening with Ward now.

I think some legit boxing fans focus too much on the fanboy or hater fans who aren't the most hardcore of boxing fans typically (although some are obviously). I think some legit boxing fans focus so much on the fanboy or hater fans so much they become one of them. I've taken to responding less & less to those types of fans & just letting them appreciate boxing the way they appreciate it. Why do I give a f#ck if someone gets their enjoyment from boxing by ****ting on certain boxers or believing the sun rises & sits from the a$$shole of some other boxer?

This happens in other sports too. I got a friend who LOVES the Yankees losing & plenty of people from all around the US or the UK, if not all over the world, probably know tons of friends & relatives who are homer fans for the local/regional sports team. I don't think its a bad thing. You just gotta realize many of these types of fans like this aren't operating on a high boxing IQ level & they don't need to be. Their watching boxing & enjoying it the way they wanna enjoy it. Fair play to them.

Ward is also one of the hardest fighters to hit clean, let alone with a good combination, today in the game

you dont have to be whitaker or pernell to be hard to hit...you literally pulled two all time greats out your azz lol

when you hold your opponents to 25% or less connects on average....that means you are hard to hit and he gets hit clean only a handful of times per fight with anything outside of a jab.

Ward doesnt depend on power, accuracy hand cuffs opponents...doesnt matter who you are, when you take counters, and clean shots, you get hesistant...its human nature

everytime someone pushed ward to fight, he fights back hard...has never been bullied in a ring.

              see you in november

keep hoping...I believe ward will win, there is a difference
He just has to get stuck into him, like he did against hopkins, dont show him any respect as soon as that bell goes. Ward has zero power so dont worry about getting hit by something big in response, its not happening, When ward starts fouling, foul him back.
Sounds like crude tactics but thats what youve got to do against these slicker fighters, like maidana did against floyd (not what canelo did, trying to pick shots and ending up doing **** all)
Ive heard all this before, had this against hopkins, people saying kovalevs not gonna win a decision.
He hasnt been dropped cause hes not fought anyone with half the power of kovalev. Trust me when he gets hit hes going to get even more hesitant, he was hesitant to unload shots against brand, whats he going to be like against kovalev?!
And the big factor is this guy hasnt fought anyone with a pulse in 5 years, thats a long ****ing time, a factor you are all underestimating.
Of course i could be wrong, but i genuinely think kovalevs going to do a real number on ward over the course of 12 rounds

LOL keep dreaming brother. Thats definitely not happening. Kovalev or Ward will be a f#cking exposed bum who's one more L from needing to retire on Nov. 20. Count on it.

My take is I wouldn't give those people much credit with the things they say now or in the future when they say Kov or Ward is a f#cking bum on Nov. 20. I think a far too big segment of fans don't realize what it takes for Ward & Kovalev to get in position that they are among the top guys in a sport. So my opinion of some boxing fans usually drops on the Sunday after a big fight more often then my opinion drops as much for the loser of that big fight. And its never gonna change cuz that happens in every sport I feel to from what I see & hear about other sports.

Im excited about this fight! p4p 2 of the best, hopefully the winner gets Stevenson.
Yea anytime two of the top guys in a division fight its something worth getting excited about.

But f#ck Stevenson lol. I'm still rooting for him getting KTFO vs one of these random guys he's spent the last 2 or 3 years fighting largely. I'm rooting for Beterbiev getting put in play here somehow & seeing Beterbiev vs the winner or hell the loser, either guy would be a nice move up in class for him.
