    Welterweight contender Jose Benavidez, Jr. is resting and recuperating after being shot over the weekend, Jose Benavidez, Sr. told BoxingScene.com late Thursday morning. Benavidez has been recuperating at a Phoenix-area hospital since Sunday night when he was shot while walking his dog near his home.

      Shot in the pinky??? Wtf bs ass gun he get shot with? Or is his pinky blown off cuz **** I can buy some fireworks that'll blow off your pinky ffs.

                                  As a father this must be one of the scariest phone calls a parents could receive. Forget all the circumstances or assumptions, I just pray for his safe recovery and pray they find gratitude in this close call.

                                      So the guy blew his knee out, thats messed up. Now Jose got a plate in his knee.

                                      That will affect his movement in the ring, but the most important thing is he is still alive.
