I don't remember Chavez Sr, Barrera, morales, or Sanchez being hated on. If Canelo is disliked by Mexicans, it's likely because they're real boxing fans and don't respect a fighter who hands over a title to duck a real fight, gets shady lopsided decisions, and chooses to fight competition such as amir khan and Liam Smith. I actually don't see how any boxing fans should like Canelo.
