Im inclined to agree with that statement. Since winning the lineal MW championship, Canelo has fought a welterweight and is about to fight a super welterweight.

Way to defend the title, champ

I don't hate him I just don't find his style and illegal tactics entertaining.
Plus he has the personality of a blank canvas

I've grown to enjoy Ward when he fights bums. He doesnt hug or spoil at all.

No tactical clinching or whatever people call it. I think he only does that against big punchers (Miranda and Kessler). Neither of those dudes could fight worth a crap on the inside anyways so he had the advantage there and some of it was probably their clumsiness.

He doesn't have great power or anything like that but that's not something he can really help anyways and I won't hold that against him.

I admit in the past I wasn't thrilled with what I thought were diva tactics and his long layoff but hey things change.

Not a big fan, but not a hater either anymore.

I don't hate him but he does irritate me and I find him highly underwhelming from an entertainment perspective.

Most of what I don't like about him has already been covered by others: entitled attitude, aversion to travel, tedious style, blank personality, doesn't like to test himself. I can appreciate his skills of course, and there's always a few little wow moments in his fight where he strings together a particularly impressive combination or counter shot, but he so often just does the bare minimum to win. Boxing to me is more than just winning a fight; you have to put on a show as well. Ward could do so much more with the tools he has available to make it a more entertaining night for everyone. Look at Jones, Sweet Pea etc.

Ward does nothing to make me want to go out of my way to watch his fights. That's down to nothing more than his own unwillingness to treat boxing is anything other than a business.

He can try and improve his power - at least by striking with the top of the fist as opposed to these open handed slaps he dishes out.

I don't think we will see the fight unless Kovalev accedes to many unreasonable demands - but if it does happen he is getting beaten badly.

I never rated Chad, he has no heart and was drained anyway.

Because he is boring and uses illegal tactics. If he had a Floyd personality then it would be more entertaining
He is skilled but I think his skills are over rated. People don't focus on his intentional head butts and excessive holding

He was obviously drained but he accepted the terms he could have asked for a CW. When a fighter agrees to the terms you can't complain about being drained
