Why is the MW division considered a "weak" division?

IDK about that man I think Vargas gets ****ted on by most. In all reality Garcia is only champ because Floyd vacated. Thurman was only moved up to Super champ because Floyd vacated and the WBO's was Floyds too. Spence will probably be fighting for a vacant IBF title but I doubt you would call any of them weak, I wonder why tho?..Comment

Well yes that alone doesn't make it a weak division. But let's not act like circumstance doesn't matter. Lemieux was a legit top 3 guy at MW when he got his title. Both Taylor and Soliman won their titles in legit fights. Vargas gets a lot of ****, but he wasn't a top 5 WW. Neither was Smith. Those guys are considered the fringe titlists at best. Lemieux was a top 3 or 4 guy wheh he won his title. And the only guys that would have ranked above him were Golovkin, Cotto and maybe Jacobs. So maybe I should change it to, "When you have a C level guy like Lemieux in your top 5, then yea your division is weak."Comment

Martin Murray, GGG's best win lost against Abraham and Groves, two fringe contenders at 168.
Jacobs would get murdered by Dirrell. Billy Joe Saunders would get embarrassed by Andrade and outboxed by Lara.
Any top 10 super middleweight beats everyone at 160 not named GGG.
All scrubs I tell ya'.Comment

Callum Smith would beat Golovkin and he's only a fringe contender.

And big deal, MWs will lose to SMWs. Good work, Holmes. Who would have known. There is something about GGG which seems to turn a lot of people in this forum into ******s.Last edited by animelive; 08-25-2016, 04:26 AM.Comment

Compare the MW top 10 with the top 10s of 154, 147, 130, 126, 175 or even 190 and HW and you will see
BJS sucks ass, let's not lump him here
Canelo has a fight coming up in 154 as far as I know, not in 160, officially he is not a MW
GGG, Jacobs, that's all you got in MW from quality fighters. There are some nice talents there on the come up but they are not there yet so MW stys weakComment
