Ring rules state once you fight in a new division that you hold said title in you lose that ranking but it's owned by Oscar and they already lied once was suppose to take lineal away from Canelo/cotto winner if next fight wasn't lil g so they will keep changing rules anyways

It's not just the Ring, Canelo is #1 Mw per tbrb, ESPN, boxingscene etc.

THATS the difference between great fighters and those who are not great. Mayweather didn't have to build his body up when he went up weight classes, Jones did not have to build his body up when he went up, Arguello did not have to build up, hell, even Vinnie Pazienza went from 135 t0 154 in no time. Leonard went from a retired welterweight who had fought a couple times at 154 before facing Hagler.

I don't think so. He'd lose it if he were to state he's going to campaign at 154 from now on. Remember Floyd was the Sww champ even after Maidana.

Yeah, the rules are pretty clear that Canelo should be 'stripped' of the Ring belt once he fights Smith. I think it will be interesting to see what kind of story Oscar do lie Hoya will come up with to protect his investment

Please shut up about this fight. You don't want it and that's why it won't happen.

If thr smith foght sells well then oscar will contonue to milk his only cash cow and fighter really.

Remember when some of you bought into the "we will match our fighters tough" line. After Lucas got KO'd and canelo beat cotto said this was going to happen and got laughed at. Got told repeatedly that im just a PBC fanboy and Oscar knows better cause hes a real promoter. Funny how things change
