If the fight turns into a jabbing contest then Ward will win a W I D E decision. Kovalev lacks the speed, balance and proper timing to outbox someone like Ward..

can anyone explain to me the stamina issues Ward supposively has? was it one fight or is it something that always happens?

If we are to go by their respective last fights then I would think Kovalev is the one who has the stamina issues..

Nah, that's not right.Ward's opponent (I forget his name) was an unknown 168 who got paid $30k for what was essentially a sparring session.
Kovalev fought a very tough cookie who has been in with some good names, and who has never been stopped. Going by Ward's last 5 years, this doesn't change

A fight is a fight. You don't fight professionally so stop trying justify what you think fighting is. Ward may get a wake up call, or he might win. All you can do is hope who wins like everyone else.
7 pages of comments just on this one article about JDJ. So maybe you just don't like what he's saying. BTW, I boxed as a teen, and have kept up with the sport since. Even helped promote and helped train. I'm not a know-it-all like you though, but hey, we all can't be that. Must be great knowing everything.

Foolish and ridiculous to underrate any boxer that hasn't lost an amateur or pro fight in 20 years, is an Olympic Gold medalist, undefeated in 30 professional fights and is a former unified and Lineal World Champion.
I've said many times Ward is talented, so what's your point? He's head butted many times, go do some research since you must not remember the same fights we've all seen of his in recent years.

Again JDJ can talk until he's blue in the face about Ward. Kov is his charge. I'd rather hear him talk about two other fighters, not when one is his charge. But hey that's me. I feel the same way with Ward's trainer. And basically, all you're doing is complaining about how Ward fights. Good luck with that one.

And I wasn't trying to disrespect you. But you have never fought on their level which is what I should've said. World class boxers in tough fights will do anything to win legally. Mustafa Hamsho butted Hagler on purpose and he was the one who got cut, not Hagler and lost in less than 4 rounds.

Kovalevs not that slow and his balance and timing are great. Besides the jab to the stomach is one of the easiest punches to land and Kovs are like hammers.

Kovalev can't be faster as he carries so much power with his punches.
