Ward has more than enough power to win this fight. I hope for Kovalev's sake that he and his trainer don't go into this fight thinking otherwise. Ward can put Kovalev on his ass.
At least Ward doesn't hit fighters while they are down like Gigi.
Id rather a man hit me in the head when Im on a knee than hit me in the nuts when Im standing. Ward has had more points deducted for fouls than GGG has

John David Jackson talking a lot of ****. Like he's the one getting into the ring.
I wonder how many times we have to repeat this friend? Scribes are constantly after him for interviews. What's he to say? "Oh I doubt my guy Kov beats Ward, but hey we gotta do this fight, so..."

yeah a hell of a lot rests on who the ref is. Ward with a bias ref who lets him clinch and headbutt is one of the toughest guys in the sport to beat, take away the fouling and hes nothing special
Exactly. Glad to see a few fans bring up this reality... although I think Ward's better than some think he is. But no worries, we'll find out soon enough. I just hope like he!! it isn't some lame ref allowing a Ward hug n' headbutt fest all night long.

So, friend, you're ok with dirty fighters?

You don't need power to beat anyone with power. All you need is a will to win, a lil movement, a good body attack which Ward will do, and a jab. Ward lacks a right hand so he compensates by fighting smart and singles out your weakness and exploits it. We will find out more about Kov than we do Ward. Kov has never been in a rough and tumble fight with an inside fighter.
Ward takes punches every fight. Especially uppercuts and other counters. He'll definitely get a wakeup call soon enough vs Kov.

Ward is feather-fisted, but his headbutts are strong and can cut. Will Ward have a crooked referee who lets him use his skull as a weapon?
I just hope Ward gets a wakeup call and gets deducted points for that b.s. If you can't win a fight fair and square, IMO you haven't won the fight. I don't care what the official results say.

That's interesting because Jack Reiss was the referee when Ward beat Kessler and Jack Reiss was the referee when Ward had points deducted when beating Rodriguez. In which fight was Reiss crooked and has Reiss been crooked in the other 500+ fights he has refereed? And if he was crooked, does that include the numerous Golovkin victories he has refereed?
