If you want to believe that GGG signing to fight him would have had some magical transformative effect on Ward's body so that he would have still been able to make 168 now, whereas, because GGG turned him down, Andre is now stuck at 175 for ever, then go ahead, believe it, but don't expect rational people like me to believe it also.
That's why the offer was stated that each fight would have 1 fight before fighting each other LOEFFLER said the offer was turned down, so if Ward couldn't have even made weight, that doesn't matter now does it? You know their response was?

At a catchweight doe, and straight after Golovkin had already knocked him TFO at 160.

Plus, he had a chance to totally emasculate Canelo after the Khan fight when he was invited in the ring, but choose to say nothing because it is not his style. Apparently GGG's style is picking on smaller guys and then claiming everyone is scared of fighting him. That being said, that doesn't excuse Canelo chicken sh** tactics either...
Is that some rumor you just made up? Zurdo was scheduled to fight Rod Salka this summer then dropped out with a hand injury, back in November. Why the lying?

According to Loeffler in the LA Times, it called for a tune up in 2016, which would have made a potential fight sometime around mid 2016. It would have been quite a gamble to bet that Ward, who had only fought twice in roughly3 years, would be able to make a weight that he hadn't made in 2 years, a year later.

In that same article, Loeffler questions Wards ability to make weight and remarks, Who knows what weight Andre will even be fighting at? If he can make 168 in early 2017 then its an option. I believe Ward has since said that he will not go back to 168. I have to wonder if Ward even thought he could make 168 last year. When GGG said 164 this fall, Ward could have looked a little more serious and said 168 this fall. Instead, we got I'll fight you next year

Youi can write any lying **** you want here, but the video is there for people to check and see for themselves.
The video is there...and somehow you know what it doesn't say (which kills your jaded and quote manipulated argument) but you don't know what it does say. And you're right, just like you did earlier, I COULD write any lying **** I want. Fortunately, I don't have to. Why? Because "maybe 2017" supercedes any question as to whether Ward could make 168 between July 2015 and September 2016.

Seems like facts being thrown at the wrong question. The question is, had Ward signed a contract to fight Golovkin this year, could he have made 168? Most say yes based on him being at 171.8 against Smith and his lack of weight issues in the past. I'm not sure why folks want to use his post move to LHW weights and discussion on the ease in making 168 after beginning a LHW campaign with the goal of beating Kovalev. The only way the post November stuff counts in answering that hypothetical is if Ward stayed at 168 or if Ward or Hunter just came out and said that making 168 for that fight wasn't possible (which would contradict what they said last summer).

I remember Ward slamming Paul Smith for failing to make weight, calling ghim unprofessional. I think Ward would have found a way to make 168, and I dont think he would have been healthy. I thought he looked pretty skinny on the scale at 171.8 and wonder where the extra 4 lbs would come from. But that's just my opinion.

The fact is that Hunter said around the time of the Smith fight, that Ward would remain at 168 and that he had unfinished business at 168. Hunter said that Ward would move up when his body had outgrown the division and that it would be a collective decision. With that being said by Virgil, I am believing that Ward could not, and cannot make 168 at this time or in the future

                  • Ward's Contract was no Different than Jacobs, Suanders, and Canelo, except worse

Ward's bs contract was the same as Jacobs, Suanders and Canelo. "I'll fight you GGG, in a year or so."

Big difference for Ward is he tried to lock in a favorable purse before the year and half even started.

So let's put this in perspective:

Canelo--I'll fight him, in a year and a half.

Jacobs--I'll fight him in a year and a half.

Suanders--I'll fight him, in a year and a half.

Ward -- I'll fight him, in a year and a half.

Lara -- I'll fight him for 3 million, never mind the fact me and three other champs at 154 couldn't break 500k on showtime. Heck, Lara should be paying GGG to fight him.

OH LOOK, Brook says -- I'll fight him, now, at 160. **** them other biiiiitches.

Such a joke no one will fight him unless he gives them outrageous money or they can have a year or so of fight build up.

Brook, the guy who took it at a moments notice when Ward, Canelo, Eubanks, Jacobs and Canelo all want year or more to get ready.

I bet you call for GGG to fight Ward still. I guess ward's not far behind chasing a much smaller MW.
