Before the Golovkin fight definitely, but now it's much closer 50-50. I still give Brook the edge but his weight is a real worry now. Spence is not as great as some make him out to be but he is very much a real threat to Brook and anyone at 147.

I agree brook kills himself to make that weight. I wonder if spence would be willing to do it at like 152 or something. If brook beats him he should honestly move to 154. Hes too big for 147.

Facing a guy he was 100/1 to win, who's only fight against a decent level opponent was Keith Thurman. Let's calm down a bit.

Keith Thurman dropped him in the first round and decided to get some experience. Big ***ing deal.

Brook isn't ducking or dodging nobody. He does an awful habit of taking a good fight (Porter, GGG) and following them upwith meaningless ones. In seriousness - the Spence fight could potentially be considered MEANINGLESS bc he has no scalps.

Walk with me for a sec here. What if Spence loses his next 3 fights. 2 years from now people criticize Brook for fighting Spence instead of chasing Pac, Thurman/Garcia, Canelo, etc.

Spence is still a relative nobody and he needs a good scalp to get some recognition. Crawford would be a helluva fight. Thurman/Garcia winner would be incredible also

Why does that matter? Spence makes a bunch of amateur mistakes in the ring.

People on this site don't know how to analyze fighters and probably half of the people who say Spence is great never watched his fights, just the highlights.

Brook would probably spank him easily at this point.

i'll reserve judgement on spence until he beats someone with a pulse. Beating someone who pacquioa knocked down 6 times isnt really that impressive to me. Kid could well turn out to be a hype job, people putting too much pressure on him when hes not done anything so far in his career.

Why would Spence agree to a fight at 152 when his whole angle has been to fight for and win a title?
