Fortunately, there are a lot of good postera here too that understand what they saw - a 19 year old being interviewed just moments after defeat, a man who had the weight of his nation on his shoulders since people said he would be the one to win gold. That's a lot of pressure for a 19 year old, add to that he had guys like Floyd Mayweather trying to sign him to a contract while he's trying to focus on the fight for a Gold Medal.
When I was 19 I was getting drunk and high with my friends without a care in the world, this kid was fighting and training his ass off most of his life all for this one moment fighting for his country and he came up just a tad short against an awesome Cuban fighter. Of course he's going to be emotional. Give the kid a few hours to let things settle down, a few days, hell a few weeks, and he'll be fine, but you interview him just moments after it all happened, of course a kid in under those circumstances is going to struggle to fight back tears.Comment

yeah said it on a different thread, because shakur is american thats the only amateur we hear about on this site. saw about 5 threads in last few minutes about shakur, and seems to be the only fighter in the tournament judging from last few weeks. No threads praising the winner, the 2x olympic champ because hes cuban.
Or I dunno, because he aint a 19 year old prodigy?Comment
