JDJ is definitely trying to get into Ward's head. I don't believe he believes what he says, but he quite masterfully rubs salt into Ward's wounds. Andre in some way deserved this kind of attitude.

I can see a nice clean fight actually. People underestimate intelligence and overrate power, it's part of the reason people still think Pacquiao beat Floyd. They think it should be rock em sock em robots for 12 rounds

I know, a 50 year old Hopkins would not go UD 12 rounds with bums like Brand and Barrera. He would of finished them KO in 6 or less.

Ward should be thanking Kovalev for opportunity to earn a payday.

Ward has earned more than Kovalev ever will...he doesnt have to be thankful to him for anything.

Hopkins isn't finishing anybody...He has ZERO offense at this point of his career..No way in hell does B-Pops stop Barrera...or even Brand.

a. I don't agree with him.
b. JDJ is doing a god damn awful job of promoting this fight. It's a PPV. He should be talking crap, making headlines, predicting knockouts , etc. Instead he's saying 'this fight aint that big'.

Man, Abel Sanchez is a big time troll occasionally, but he at least generates headlines that helps his team (and occasionally backfires).

Maybe Ward should actually show up to an event and tell everyone why JDJ is wrong

Not an accurate statement at all. If Kovalev would have fought the Hopkins that beat Pavlik and Taver, then I would agree with that statement. With Hopkins age and stage of his career when he fought Kovalev, I have to disagree with JDJ.

he beat the crap out of hopkins over 12. although i dont like him i dont think wards got that toughness bernard has. he was ill against chilemba and he still won easy. wards never fought a puncher like kovalev.
