He had been out of the ring over a year and given up his belts. Then the video I posted was in November when Froch met Loeffler for the first time and talked about fighting GGG. Loeffler said right there on the video that Froch is to big. As you GGG fans like to say, how can you duck someone not in your division?
They were after him ever since Chavez backed out a year earlier. Conveniently forgot?

As for the ducking allegations, Froch famous words tell the story: swerve him like the plague, punches like a mule, dangerous fight

Perhaps he was giving compliments before he realized he was nothing but a hype job, did anywhere in that quote did you see Froch say "I wouldn't fight him"?

Does that change Golovkin's resume? I'm sorry, I missed that

No they weren't. They said they would fight Froch or Chavez at 168 but they never talked to Hearn or Froch. The video was the first time Froch and Loeffler had ever met. If saying you want to fight somebody means you're going after them then Lara has been going after GGG since 2013

You mean Brook sold out, he's the A-side and the reason Brits are buying tickets.

Loeffler did say that Froch is a big guy and that 172 was probably not happening. He also mentioned that Golovkin was probably looking to fight Nelo / Cotto so was 168 was unlikely too. Oh and Froch also mentioned that his retirement was a potential barrier to the fight. He also mentioned later that he'd heard that Golovkin was considering moving down - presumably anticipating a CW with Canelo.

Froch did not duck GGG. GGG did not duck Froch. If the point of the thread is to debunk the idea that Froch somehow avoided Golovkin then I see the point. If it's just another thread to bash GGG ... well ... aren't there enough of those already?

Didn't they use the same excuse to not fight Ward because the winner of Canelo Cotto was who GayLoveKin wanted? Wow, how'd that work out for you Tom?
