In June and July, we had two Fight of the Year candidates - Thurman-Porter and Santa Cruz-Frampton - which features top guy vs. top guy, the best fighting the best.

Scheduled within the next six months:
    Ward-Kovalev
    Golovkin-Brook
    Santa Cruz-Frampton 2
Thurman-Porter 2 or Thurman vs. Danny Garcia
    Mares-Cuellar
    Gary Russell vs. Lee Selby

Plus future superstar Anthony Joshua and the return of Mikey Garcia.
    Just look at 2011

    Floyd - Cotto
    Pac - Marquez
    Cotto - Maragrito 2
    Berto - Ortiz 1
    Chavez Jr - Martinez
    Rios - Alvarado
    Ward - Dawson
    Floyd - Ortiz
    Klitschko Haye
    Pac - Mosley
    Ward-Froch
    Hopkins - Dawson
    Khan - Judah
    Khan - Peterson
    Morales - Garcia

Sure a couple of these weren't great fights, but you can see the quality matchups were coming thick and fast, unlike this last couple of years.

In its current form it should die. Only pathetic fanboys like you are enjoying the current scene. The rest of the world wouldn't care.

They're not really boxing fans. They're PBC/Haymon/Floyd fanboys.

                It was a great year.

                But Floyd-Cotto, Rios-Alvarado, and Martinez-Chavez Jr were all 2012.

I agree,,, boxing is dead, at least in America,,,

Ufc and wwe are bigger, and boxing has no one to blame but itself...

Fanboys will cling to Floyd's PPv numbers, but are in denial about how lame and dead boxing is now
