the strongest European scene at this minute is probably the British and I don't see any Eastern European takeover.
8 Russian champions in the last three year, 4 Ukranian and 2 Kazakh
I don't count Poland and Montenegro as EE but if you really want it then 3 more, let's say they are for those who want...
17 champions
USA had 34 champions during that time
if we count their whole "block" with Mexico, Canada Southern- and Central - American fighters then that 34 becomes 94
Europe as a whole continent (Brits included with 21) had 48
You can start to argue about comparing it to the population and etc... but that isn't the point. The point is that in absolute numbers there's no EE takeover, the whole thing is just a delusion of a few people on the internet. How you gonna take over with 14 (or 17) champions in all of the 17 weightclasses in the past 3 years? Maybe you can say to earlier times that they were forbidden to compete in the USA but it's allowed to them for a time now (more than 20 years) and their scene was popping in the last 4-5 years already and they still didn't take over the sport and imo they won't.
They have a nice scene and they add plus flavour to the world of boxing but they're not gonna be a leading force in the sport.
They are kinda that in the ams with Cuba too but seriously who cares about that among pro boxing fans?
I'm not even American but you all ride too hard for your anti-American BS... Just move on guysLast edited by HEND; 08-16-2016, 10:51 AM.
