Yea, on Canelo still holding The Ring MW lineal title: I'm still waiting for him to get stripped of it...but it's been so long that I don't think they'll strip him since they think he'll return to MW. So yea, when he vacated, he only vacated the WBC belt...because it was the WBC that put a deadline for Canelo to face his mandatory GGG. He still holds the lineal title.

problem is canelos next fight will be on regular hbo and there isnt just enough money for saunders crazy demands, a 2 fight deal was the perfect way to pay him enough...

Saunders is waiting to cash out. He won't risk his only 'bargaining chip', the WBO belt for peanuts vs nobodys. He wants a really fat paycheck (4-5 mill $). Canelo and especially GGG wants that WBO belt, so Saunders wants a really high price for it.

Does the WBO charge a % of everything like the WBC?? Or just a flat rate??? If this was the WBC they would of already made Canelo a mando...

Yup! And I can see why he still is. Dougie already explained this in his weekly topics for Ring Magazine. And it made sense. It hasn't even been a year since he won it. They talked aobut stripping him but by their own rules they can't yet. And Canelo said he's moving back up. Figthing Saunders and getting that WBO is what everyone is waiting on now??? Then GGG for all the belts. Until Saunders went full RTard.

Saunders is a moron.

He's avoided virtually everyone in the division and tries to make it sound fine. Had a very average Andy Lee not had the belt, he would have skipped his world title shot too.

I still remember when Chavez Jr. smashed Lee. That wasn't even CLOSE to being competitive.

I don't think he is even confident he can beat Rosado/Stevens/Monroe - he was fighting on same level with Lee, he was lucky that Eubank was inexperienced and didn't put serious pressure on from beginning. So he is just looking to cash out.
And that is confirmed by what he said of Lemieux >> basically Lemieux cashed out for too little money.
