What made Vitali difficult to beat?

What do you think made Vitali Klitschko so difficult to beat? He never lost by decision, only losing a handful of rounds in his entire career, and had never been knocked down.

To be honest he has no standout wins and lost his biggest fight against an aging ATG..BUT he was long, strong and unorthodox, Corrie Sanders had him running for his life and he was B-class at best but Vitali adjusted and battered him. Vitali was a solid fighter, mean and tough but his resume is really lacking to be honest. what is his best win in your opinion?

Agile and fast for a man his size, good counterpuncher, hell of a chin, huge, big power that his opponents respect, awkward as hell.

Some boxers you praise have fights like that too.

He used his height to big advantage, that long jab which he used to prod and find openings, active work rate, granite chin, not great but solid and consistent power. He was a lot of fun to watch for me and would be very intimidating. Put his punches together well and even though sometimes he used arm punches, he used them effectively to nullify his opponents. Managed to beat down Corrie Sanders, dominated Shannon Briggs, Thomas Adamek, an undefeated Chris Arreola, Samuel Pater and gave Lennox Lewis one hell of a fight. Nothing against Lewis, but he talked an awful lot of trash for a fight he was losing on the cards and refused to give a rematch. Over all, I like watching Vitali more than Wladimir, even though Wladimir accomplished more.

Maybe true but against guys not at their best. So don't make the wins seem like it's the grand shit when you praise those boxers.

Yeah, what's the best win on his record anyway?

And don't tell me he was on his way to beating Lewis. Lewis was starting to turn up the heat and Lewis was in his worst shape ever and caved Vitali's face in. People act like Lewis got lucky. It was his punches that smashed Vitali's face in. That stoppage saved his career and probably eyesight.

He was strong, had good power and was tough. He was also very awkward and was able to use it to his advantage. Of course the competition was weak but he fought who was available.
