Is Rigondeaux a One Division Coward?

I've seen Golovkin called a one-division coward, whatever the hell that means. Was Jake LaMotta a one-division coward? Graziano? Hagler? I myself don't see anything wrong with staying in one division and if he was even a couple of years younger, I'd say stay at middleweight until every ducker had to fight him or move on. I agree that he would be more tested at 168, but I don't think he's a coward in any way.

That said, Rigondeaux will only fight at 122. 122. 1. 2. 2. His next division is 4 pounds away. For Golovkin to move up would mean 8 pounds vs. 4 pounds? If you bash Golovkin for this, you have to bash Rigondeaux as well. Any great at 122 moved up to 126 and 130 as Barrera, Morales, Marquez and Pacquiao all did. I don't care that Rigo stays where he's at, but if Golovkin gets heat over one division, so should every other fighter who's at one division. Yet, I don't see any threads about them. So I thought I'd start with Rigo.

I was thinking Rigo moved up from 118 to 122, but you're right, he's only fought at 122. Too bad Rigo didn't atleast take a hint from GGG and learn to stay active and relevant, never mind exciting.

        He's moving up to 126.

Rigo's only has 17 fights in.

You wish he was irrelevant, but to the real boxing fans, he's still the most feared man in the business.

The same people that don't want GGG to move up are always demanding other fighters to do so.

They want Crawford at 147 even though he just got to 140.

They demand fighters to "challenge themselves" and "take risks" by moving up...

...but when it comes to Golovkin they pivot to Hagler quickly pointing out that he didn't move up.

              Hagler had COMPETITION..unlike GGG.

GGG is in the worst division in its ancient history...it's bad enough he stayed in the amateurs until he was plucking gray hairs out his beard...but now he's in a MW wasteland about to fight a WW.

He considers himself a Champion, but the belts he has came from a shot Jr MW Kassim Ouma, and Marco Antonio Rubio, who was put to sleep in 30 seconds at 154.

Gigi is just not ambitious,he's happy playing Sheriff in a ghost town.
What happens when people start moving into town.??

What if his ghost town suddenly becomes crowded?

Can he handle it...I doubt it.

No, I'm not demanding any fighter do anything. I'm saying there is a double standard here. Why does Rigo get to stay right at 122 and yet GGG is supposed to move to 168 or 175? I'm pointing out the double standard. They can both do what they want.

Hagler had competitors. Yeah and they were willing to fight him. GGG has tried to get fights with all the other champions. It's not his fault. Hagler also fought in an era where he was the only champion and guys couldn't hide forever. I wish GGG was in that era, to be honest. Win, lose or draw, there would be no mystery.

And I never brought up Crawford. That's all you. If he stays at 140, I have no problem with that.

according to GGG haters logic, yes he is a coward. if you dont go add on a few pounds in weight and beat people in the weight class above, even if they arent that great, then that makes you a coward and a nobody. that is the only thing that matters in the sport, not winning or losing but going up in weight
