I'm talking about pure hype,, not sure if you watched boxing back then but Zab had incredible hype.. Had boxingscene been around in the late 90s, he would have had more hype with the fanboys than floyd mayweather

and thats fine, that happens to alot of fighters, zab still beat alot of good opponents who had stellar careers. geale murray and lemieux still havent so far come as far as judah IMO. geales best win is darren barker, lemieux was ndam (went back to the olympics and took an L) and murray still lacks the ability to finish strong in his most important fights, this guy lost to the 2016 version of arthur abraham man.

          Oh Spinks beat Taylor.

Why the **** can no one understand the thread.. We aren't talking about resumes,,, is whole thread is about HYPE.... Zab Judah 99-01 was way more hyped than Golovkin is now. People thought Zab was the next great fighter of the new millinium before people had ever heard of manny and money may was still pretty boy floyd.

              Enough said.
Thread starter is not black. His originally account is Earl Hickey and he's a white Englishman. He was a decent poster at one point but has turned into a troll.

Golovkin got his belt by beating Milton Nunez. Zab also beat Lucas. who Golovkin got better?

i know what youre talking about, im from brooklyn, judah grew up about 25 minutes away from me, i know about all his hype but that still does not make him an overhyped fighter in my eyes. overhyped in my eyes is if youre placed on a pedestal and you never meet a career defining moment. thats why i said lucian bute should be on that list. bute never fought any top 5 guy in his division and held onto one belt until froch sent him packing. it was the first time hed face anyone inside the top 5 and he was the favorite to beat froch. since then hes done nothing. judah in his KO loss bounced back and took out an opponent very much on the level of tsyzu in spinks

Linares was the most hyped fighter I ever saw but Golovkin is the oldest I've ever seen who does nothing and is hyped.
