you are being so hyperbolic saying it was embarrassing and easy. floyd nicked a win because of reputation and because people thought it was his type of fight but thats not how you score boxing. you score on punches, etc...and he didn't win those categories. he only won the i'm floyd category. the only one who embarrassed himself was floyd while bending over below the waist and having his face 6 inches from the canvas. he did that over 35 times and its not even legal. you probably think that illegal things coutn as defense lol. and he still got hit cleaner while doing all these illegal moves but yea he embarassed pac. does illegal moves constantly and gets hit cleaner=you got schooled! you know your boxing sir.
Can you name 5 people that know shlt about boxing that believe Pacquiao won this fight?

I mean 5 active boxers, retired boxers, boxing trainers, or boxing commentators. Serious question.

There's only one fight that Floyd should consider a comeback for, and that's a rematch with Canelo Alvarez @ 154! That's probably more money than Mayweather vs. Pacquiao II.
Floyd was blaming his poor performance against Castillo due to guess what? Yup, torn rotator cuff injury! Check out below how fast he was ready for a rematch ..... reading at what Floyd fans said about Manny's injury, one would think they do not believe Floyd was seriously injured ....

Floyd, who fought on April 20 against Castillo was ready for a rematch against Castillo about 1-1.5 months (talks) after the fight for an early August fight even though Floyd was supposedly recovering from a torn rotator cuff injury and surgery

"I tore my rotator cuff. My arm was killing me. It was hurting so bad, it was one of the most painful feelings that I ever had."

Floyd: "It was tough, my last (days of) training I hurt my rotator cuff. I wasn't able to use my jab and left wasn't as strong but I don't want to have any excuses like other champions. When they get hurt, they don't even come to show up to the fight. I get hurt, I come to fight to give the fans ....."

Larry Merchant: Was he much tougher than you anticipated? You after all said this was going to be an easy fight.

Floyd: You have to realize that I have a messed up arm. My arm was messed up but I have no excuses. I don't back down or turn down fights.

Larry Merchant: So it was a harder fight than anticipated?

Floyd: With one arm, yes. With one arm yes.

Remember earlier in the year Crawford was dismissing Postol and everybody was trying to claim he was afraid of Postol? That was because he was told he had the Pacquaio fight.
Crawford ducked Postol earlier. It was offered to him and he turned it down and picked Dierry Jean. Postol ended up fighting Matthysse.

You don't have to believe me. It showed in the Postol fight. Crawford ran all night.

HBO also wanted Crawford vs Matthysse. Bob refused to do it.

          • Is an ACTIVE fighter
          • Coming off a big, significant win
          • Who would actually be a threat
          • And who would bring in lots of money

Floyd only meets two of the 4 criteria above.

Also, Floyd hasn't rematched anyone since Maidana, and that was only because of the SD outcome of the first fight. It wasn't a decisive, unanimous decision like Canelo or Manny.

Bottom line is, Manny and Roach need to move on to the current crop of fighters who are an actual threat. Not focus on the guy that literally embarrassed you in the ring.

          Especially not after this:

Roach keeps on saying that he did not see it since the fight happened and he needs to rewatch it .....

now since you are using Roach as a barometer:
          - Roach said many people told him that Manny won.
          - Roach said with 2 good shoulders Manny beats Floyd.

And greats are supposed to have rematches like these, so why not.

              How is this comparable?

              1. Some had Floyd losing, but some had Floyd winning. Check the press row scores.

              2. Floyd gave an immediate rematch.

              3. Floyd's injury was mentioned AFTER THE 1ST ROUND. Yes, DURING THE FIGHT.

              4. It clearly wasn't a full thickness rotator cuff tear, as Pacquiao claimed to have.

                    January 21, 2001
                    by Dan Rafael

"LAS VEGAS — When the war of words was finally over, Floyd Mayweather Jr. let his fists do all the talking.

Mayweather retained his junior lightweight title by decking Diego Corrales five times en route to a dominating 10th-round TKO Saturday night before 8,126 fans at the MGM Grand in a performance that should rocket him up the mythical pound-for-pound list.

In the months leading to the fight, Mayweather was relentless in his harsh words toward Corrales, berating him over the felony spousal abuse charges he faces. In the ring, the punishment he doled out was just as great.

"I used my defense the way my dad (Floyd Sr.) wanted me too," said Mayweather, who earned a six-fight HBO contract worth $15 million by winning. "I just wanted to show who is the best in the world."

Corrales (No. 1 USA TODAY, 33-1), a former champion, simply had no answer for Mayweather's blinding speed. He could never catch Mayweather (No. 2, 25-0, 19 KOs)

and never landed a single telling blow the entire fight, a shocker for one of the world's most tremendous punchers. By landing only single-digit punch totals in each round, Corrales set a CompuBox record for futility as he landed just 60 of 205 blows.

Not interested in a rematch between Floyd and Manny.
Floyd proves he can run all night.
