Agree 100%. How many legends have we seen stick around to long? Who cares that Ali lost to Berbick does anyone think that takes away from what he did or what kind of fighter he was in his prime? If anyone does they should just stop watching Boxing.

Oh and Lennox was past it and he still BEAT Vitali. SCOREBOARD.

this post is hilarious. a kilitchko sac rider is criticising lennox lewis for retireing with his titles. thats really ironic considering that vitali was GIVEN his title and was so afraid of losing it that rahman forced him into retirement.
and this **** about vitali wining on the cards against lennox. maybe he was but lennox tore his ****ing face apart. if that fight wouldnt have been stopped vitalis naked gay modeling career and his boxing career would be over.
vitali=one of the five WORST paper champions (the word champion should never be used in reference to this turd) in any division in any time.

FINSIHED WITH A 41(32)-2-1 RECORD and BAISCALLY OUTBOXED EACH OF HIS OPPONENTS! YEAH ITS TRUE HIS A TOP 10!

        NOTABLE WINS:
        TONY TUCKER
        FRANK BRUNO
        TOMMY MORRISON
        RAY MERCER
        ANDREW GOLOTA
        SHANNON BRIGGS
        FRANCOIS BOTHA
tony tucker? frank bruno? morrison? mercer? golota? briggs? BOTHA?! do you really think these names will stand the test of time? do you really think that these bums are worth mentioning when listing noteworthy lewis opponents?

the only remotely legendary or great or whatever names on that resume are holyfield (old), tyson (very old), rahman (undeserved), and mccall (only cuz of the upset).

nobody else mattered, and nobody will remember or care who else lewis fought.

Out of the HW legends of our time (late 80's to now), I have it like this....

                  1. Mike Tyson
                  2. Evander Holyfield
                  3. Lennox Lewis

Tyson and Holyfield are both top 10, but Lennox is top 15 in my opinion.

Lennox is surely top 15 all-time. He beat everyone he fought, something rarely accomplished in boxing. A legit hall of famer who I think would have given alot of all-time greats a VERY tough fight. And yeah, people who watched him fight over the years will remember Lennox Lewis and people years from now will read about him.
