PBC, Showtime, & Schaefer all working as one unit

Why do some weirdos think that Showtime is different than PBC? The Santa Cruz-Frampton bout was clearly a PBC event just like all the rest of the PBC events on Fox, NBC, Spike, ESPN, Bounce, etc.

It's also VERY clear that Schaefer will be working with Haymon/PBC/Showtime very closely eventually forcing HBO out of boxing soon enough.

I'm sure you are right. I just watch as much boxing as I possibly can and don't pay much attention to that part of boxing. I remember a time when champions defended their titles 3 or 4 times a year and usually against one of the best 7 or 8 boxers in their weight class. Now champions only fight about twice a year and many champions fight guys who are no where near the 10 best in their weight class or even the 20 best.

Of course they're the same, they're all a family of cucks. Add DiFellatio and whoever runs Warriors boxing to that.

They don't call them Premier Boxing Cucks for nothing.

Not at all just some weirdos forget that the mantra of PBC was "Free Boxing For All" and Showtime had their dates from PBC cut back dramatically last year to the point they are hardly doing any shows on NBC or Fox, ESPN has been reduced to FNF level fights like their FS1 series when it used to showcase fighters like Santa Cruz and Thurman, and now Haymon went crawling back to Showtime because PBC can't afford to put very many big fights on free to air cable.

Besides the low budget Spence-Bundu single fight on NBC there aren't any NBC, CBS, Fox cards on the horizon.

Haymon has shifted 90% of his Showtime/HBO level fighters back to Showtime or farmed out to HBO while keeping his lower level fighters and prospects afloat on Bounce/NBCSN/FS1/ESPN. The only PBC station that actually pays for fights is Spike and they have kept a decent amount of fights but next year ESPN and NBC/NBCSN will be out of the PBC business.

The idea that free boxing for all failed and they had to crawl back to Showtime tells you all that you need to know.

Cute delusions and parroting from JoeMan aka one of Kathy Duva's inbred sisters.

Almost sll the Showtime shows are on the PBC website on the schedule. Eventually all the Showtime and free fights will be under the PBC brand.

I don't think its a matter of being able to "afford" to put fights on free TV, it's just at least temporarily a nod to the UFC way of doing business (put the less attractive fights on their FS1 Fight Night shows and the best fights on PPV).

Yea I agree for the most part. I would say its at least a lil presumptuous to say that Slick Ricky is in cahoots with Haymon & Showtime in the same way Haymon & Showtime are in cahoots with each other, but its a solid bet that I'd wager myself as I tend to believe Haymon & Slick Ricky are the brains behind this entire play & its about time Slick Ricky got actively involved.

And for sure these PBC fighters on Showtime are unofficial PBC fights & I've been calling them as such since the first ones with Chavez Jr early last year.

I don't know about PBC & their partners running HBO out of the business doe. I think HBO has been willingly taking steps back out of the boxing business for the last couple decades. I also see a solid argument to make that HBO's marketing of boxing was a cannibalistic endeavor that was always going to corner the elite boxing market & make the sport smaller with its premium cable & PPV approach until it wasn't a viable strategy even for them ironically enough.

So while I think we will see the end of HBO Boxing or the restructuring of HBO Boxing (maybe to a PPV only platform, a streaming network, maybe to HBO Latino or maybe to some sort of TruTV type deal with an non-HBO entity or something else entirely) I don't think PBC is going to be ultimately responsible for that change.

I think PBC definitely changed the landscape. Never before has HBO not had the biggest budget in US boxing.
