  • ok, since we are boxing fans, lets pose this question instead:

would you rather watch an exciting fight or a boring fight?

take crawford for instance, no-one is asking him to stick his chin out , hands down and get hit by postol but he was clearly taking over the fight, yet still stuck to his low output no-one wants to see a bore-fest like that

What's boring and what isn't is subjective though isn't it

Not everyone likes the same thing.

Some people enjoy those Crawford esque performances.

          • The slick crew are gonna say we dont appreciate boxers. Yea i do, i thought floyd oscar was a good fight. Floyd tried to hurt oscar towards end of that fight. Toney mcallum fights, whitaker mcgirt fights, hearns vs benitez.

              You're a Hopkins fan.

A lot of people say Hopkins is a boring fighter. But you find him entertaining right?

It's all subjective. As is entertainment in general. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

              • ****** question that involves someone getting their feelings hurt in another thread. Live with the consequences if you are a boring ****ing fighter. You have guys out there that are technical genius but boring as **** because of it. I'm not hating on it and understand it because who is trying to get brain damage? But at the same time when no one wants to pay money to see your boring ass fight *cough *cough(Ward, Rigo, etc) then deal with it.

People who are supporters of the "sweet science" are a few and far between. If Floyd didn't have a mouth to talk **** to promote his fights and give al haymon some sucky sucky then his boring ass won't have any ppv records. His mouth gave him that money, not his style in the ring.

If Ward beats Kovalev and it's a boring as **** fight, cong**** on the win but the boring criticism is justified. Just like how the technical boxer fan boys will criticize the brawler for being one dimensional when he beats the pure boxer and say he's lucky he has a chin or power or some other **** they come up with. Deal with it.

                • I would rather be a boring winner as the goal of the fight is to win, not to lose in exciting fashion.

I also agree with Irondan, boring is subjective.

calling floyd, ward, Crawford, rigo and others boring is always a reaction to them beating an NSB favorite or non american rather easily.

It's NSB, If you can't beat 'em, denigrate them.

                  • It's what I'd rather watch that I'm more concerned with. We're fans not fighters.

Too many on here think they're the boxers or managers themselves.

                    • dumb thread. Boring winners include Floyd $$$...and on the other end, Rigo.

I would imagine everyone here would rather be the Floyd type "boring winner" who can leave the sport with there mind (and presumably wallets) intact.
