  • Tischenko looks lost, at least he's not celebrating like he clearly won, he has many to improve, like utilizing his reach, jab to make distance, how to throw short punches

Imo levit didnt dominate him but rd 3 is clearly his round

Excited to see them in the pros

So to sum it up, if you know boxing a bit you will see that there were no dominance, but Levit won.
Why don't you crawl back into Tischenko's anus you Russian propagandist.

          It wasn't close.
Just rewatch the fight and you will see how many punches landed on Tischenko's gloves. Though of course I don't deny that Tischenko clearly lost 1st and 3rd rounds.

          • I can see why people are upset, but c'mon, it's just the amateurs. They don't really matter.

            • Levit obviously won this 30-27. I can't say I'm surprised though. As I was saying earlier, this isn't a sport anymore. The scorecards are filled up before the fights start far too often. The judges are pretty much useless. AIBA picks the winner, nobody else.

Tischenko is one of the biggest fraud in amateur boxing. I have nothing against him, he's a tough fighter, he's not dirty or arrogant, but this the second major championship he's been gifted. At last year's World Championships in Doha Savon beat him up just as bad as Levit just did and Tischenko got the win, and now he's been gifted an Olympic Gold medal. To make matters worse, he had already been involved in two controversial decisions in the previous rounds against Russo and Tulaganov. He arguably shouldn't have been in the final. He's one of the most undeserving Olympic & World Championships Gold medalist I've seen in recent years.

We know who the real champion is though. Levit and Savon have clearly separated themselves from the rest in the Heavyweight division. Tischenko is barely Top 5.

They matter for countries whose guys don't really turn pro. And winning gold is still a far greater achievement than winning a single alphabet title.

How in the hell anyone could score that fight for Tulaganov? He couldn't do a **** in that fight, absolutely nothing. What were you watching?

                  • Well, but Tischenko "win" is disgraceful. I don't know who needs such gold medals. I don't think that Tischenko is glad for this medal, or that Russian people will be glad for this medal (I'm not glad). Amateur boxing sucks.
After watching such decisions you understand how great are Lomachenko and Rigondeaux to have so few losses with such a corrupt judging system.

George Foreman, Floyd Patterson, Oscar Dela Hoya, Sugar Ray Leonard, Michael Spinks, Roy Jones Jr., Anthony Joshua, all said that winning the gold was the most important thing in their careers.
