Floyd's comeback was in the prime of his career (32) against a guy 10 lbs lighter than him who was in the twilight of his career (36). Pac's gonna be 38 and will fight a bigger guy who's 10 years younger than him

    There's really no comparison.

The great Floyd mayweather Jr. Made a guy jump 2 weight classes
      What a challenge
And he did not do a good job jumping up in weight, either.

People complaining about weight, Floyd could have moved down to 135-140 and still gave JMM a boxing lesson.

and ggg didnt offer a lower catchweight and then blatantly blow it off. this is definitely the same as floyd vs jmm, b hoppy vs tarver

I wouldn't really call it a return, he faced Bradley a few months back and is fighting again in November.

I wouldn't compare the fights. They're stand alone fights.
Manny is (probably) fighting a guy who he's levels above. And Mayweather faced a guy from divisions below, then still came in purposely overweight.

Neither fight is anything to write home about.

Floyd was the Lineal champ at 147 from 2006 to 2007. They had set 144 for the bout. Floyd couldn't do it, asked for 146. Marquez didn't have to agree to it. No title involved. JMM would still be ranked #2 behind Pac on p4p.
