actually floyd was retired 21 months. and yes brooks moving up two divisions to fight golovkin is the same as marquez jumping up 2 divisions for floyd. the difference is brooks has already fought at middleweight and debuted as a pro in that division while marquezs had never fought even as a junior welterweight when he jumped clear up to welters

You missed the part that Golovlin hasn't been inactive for "21 months" and fghting a Lineal champ on a NON Title bout. Brook would have to atleast had to have fought (how ironic) Pac and Thurman to even have comparison to May vs JMM. Take your time
