Ward is not a real fighter, nor does he care about the fans, he wants to face the worst opponents for the biggest amount of money, he only signed to face Kovalev because HBO said either sign for Kovalev or keep fighting on BET and Homeshopping Channels.

This would've been a breakout fight for Monaghan, win or lose. After reading the article, I don't think anyone can say he wasn't willing to. I'm not tuning in for Ward/Brand, but I would've tuned in for Ward/Monaghan.

No one to blame but ward himself. He doesn't seem like the kind to care if people likes him or not. Reason why I'm saying this is because aside from boxing we don't ever hear about ward doing any other thing non boxing related.

Of course, that's what you will see if you put the main characters in that kind of spot where the view is the star. What do you expect? They should have picked a spot where people mostly gather, then just panned the view and location in the intro or at the end of the presscon.
