Wrong! Shabransky wanted the fight (Legit LHW), and asked for the same money Barrera got and got declined by Ward/Roc Nation.

Ward is not a real fighter, nor does he care about the fans, he wants to face the worst opponents for the biggest amount of money, he only signed to face Kovalev because HBO said either sign for Kovalev or keep fighting on BET and Homeshopping Channels.

This would've been a breakout fight for Monaghan, win or lose. After reading the article, I don't think anyone can say he wasn't willing to. I'm not tuning in for Ward/Brand, but I would've tuned in for Ward/Monaghan.
