Been seeing a few threads about Wilder and his comp. Sure his comp isn't the best, but is he really that bad? If he is they bad, what does that say about the division as a whole? Personally I don't think he is anything great, nor has he fought anyone of note. What I do see is a guy who is fun to watch and when it was his turn tried to not only step up but travel to fight the best guy available. Is he special or great? He'll no! Is he doing anything thing different compared to any other paper to flirt...no, not really. Lets put this guy where he belongs. An unproven commodity who holds a belt. Than again, Tyson Fury is the man at heavyweight and all her done is beat an old Klitschko who while being great was never keen on going to war.
is Wilder a legit heavyweight force?

That's what I'm saying. But there have been threads about him being stopped as an amateur to prove ridiculously ****** points. Where Is/those fighters at now? If you want to bag on Wilder you need to look at the whole division. Of course the haters will always have some lame comeback without actually looking at everyone or even thier heroes. Truth is, the division has been crap for a long time. Stop blaming one guy when he is doing the same thing as everyone else.Comment

Yeah he is.
There isnt anyone with a good enough defence at HW that i would say a 6'7, 84" reach, power punching hw isnt a danger too.
Would i bet on him to beat a Joshua or Fury? Im not sure. But he has a great chance in both.
Saying that, im not sure he has the coordination or temperment to become a much better HW than he is nowComment

Truth is HW is extremely weak right now.
Most of the top HW's barely have 1 or 2 world level wins to rub between them, some have 0.
We are trying to base opinions of how good these guys are and how they match up almost purely on eye test.
Until the fights get made trying to predict which fighters are good, great, average or whatever is pretty much impossibleComment

I honestly think he beats Fury. Maybe I'm crazy, but I would bet on it. Fury doesn't like being backed up and a fast fisted fighter will cause him problems. Ortiz seems the more complete fighter, but is his resume really any better than Wilder? The division is either unproven or old for the most part. Can't really blame Wilder for the state of it unless you wan5 to point fingers at everyone else. That's pretty much my point of this thread.Comment

He's the best in the division and it's not even close
Fury is feather fisted glass Jawed and fat
Joshua is slow stiff and glass Jawed
Wilder us slick, skilled, silky smooth punches like a mule and iron chin never been down and has insane handspeedComment

He shows me heart in his amateur losses and he fought decent guys.
He looks awkward but to me all the "over sized" guys look awkward.
We'll see what happens when he gets rocked and how he reacts. No different than any other fighter you need to prove yourself under fire.
So far he's very game and does have a caution about him that shows sense.
I think he competes on the current scene very nicely but there's a few others that do the same.
