If Frampton fights Rigondeaux and it's boring, and he's made to look bad. It's going to **** up his entire career. Literally.

If Frampton knocks Rigondeaux out, which I think is very possible, no one is going to give a ****. And he ain't gonna make good money doing it.

There is nothing to gain there for Frampton it's a lose all the way around.

Lee Selby always a name you associate with fireworks.

Come on nobody wants to see this guy round the perimeter of the ring, flicking out a weak jab doing his best Paulie impersonation.

Its not about the money or excitement factor as they claim, it proves it with the potential future opponents he is naming. Idk why fans justify it its okay to critique your favourite fighters you know?

Frampton can't be fighter of the year unless he fights Rigo. It's as simple as that and deep down, even his biggest fans know it.

It seriously can not be any worse than the Quigg fight and that didn't **** his entire career up. If he truly wanted exciting fights Russell Jr & Selby are the last two opponents he'd be naming. You can guarantee a Selby fight would be far more boring than a fight with Rigondeaux in terms of action.

Why do fans care so much about how much a fighter makes? The guy gets Irish TV revenue, he'll be making well over a million probably 2 bare minimum regardless who he fights and Selby and Gary Russell Jr most probably have much lesser fanbases than Rigo.
These guys aren't draws even in their hometowns.

The best should be fighting the best not cherrypicking every feather-fisted paper titlist to ever win a vacant belt & passing it off as some unification the worlds been dying too see.

No way would losing to Rigo fuck up Frampton's career, but beating him would raise Carl's stock to a whole new level. He's had his money fights now, against Quigg and Santa Cruz, but pro boxing isn't just about money. Not if you want to call yourself a world champion.

Put it this way .. if Frampton beat Rigo, McGuigan wouldn't need to be telling anybody that Carl is "fighter of the year" he would be a shoe in for it.

Remember what you said the next time somebody gets busted for drugs. Carl pulled a Canelo, agreed then disagreed, but when he said he was ducking Rigo, with his mouth. I don't understand your defense. FOY is a subjective thing, he's not the only candidate. Who is Crawford ducking?

Rigo needs to slide up a division, seriously. He's stagnant as fk where he is.

really?? he has already said the money simply isnt there. Cant blame him for that. As for the ''even his biggest fans know it'' thats a load of ****, my entire street watched the fight on saturday night, and not one of them new who Rigo was.

I'm not blaming Frampton, but I'm saying he does not deserve to be fighter of the year after vacating his title to avoid his mandatory challenger.

He's FOTY so far no question, nobody has better wins than Quigg & Santa Cruz. The Rigo situation is irrelevant in this discussion.
