Terence Crawford PPV numbers

Don't know how much Arum lost in this fight, but HBO definitely lost numbers in the ratings. And I don't know how you can translate that in terms of money, but I always regard their boxing department like some kind of bonus to their subscribers, or like some non-profit local news for public service, anyways.
Fighters didn't lose anything. They have their guarantees regardless of the ppv outcome.

A strong case can be made that lil g has ruined HBO boxing. They invest most of their boxing budget in lil g but he will never be a PPV star because he is a coward. 97k is no different from 77k. But HBO'S ROI is where lil g is killing HBO boxing.

I'm all for ****ting on Arum when he deserves it as I believe he's a piece of ****, BUT people need to realize that HBO wasn't putting Crawford vs Postol on regular HBO in 2016 so we are waiting for this fight til sometime in 2017 if Arum hadn't invested in Crawford's future with this fight. If Arum lost a mill or two on this fight he'll surely parlay that into money further down the line after TC's impressive performance.
Now if this fight would have did 100k buys & Arum made money, but TC had lost I'd say that woulda been a bigger flop then if it did 50k & TC won.
As I said earlier on Crawford wasn't making a massive paycheque in comparison to previous payments he's had I think he made roughly the same for fighting Postol as he did for fighting Dulorme?
I think from a selling point of making Terence a PPV star the 50k numbers IF true is a bit of a flop with the performance not really getting a lot of people hyped or excited.

To me & 99% of boxing hardcore fans this fight "didn't feel like a PPV fight". That alone says everything right there cuz Crawford & Postol were the top 2 guys in the division. And that all lines up with the fact that if HBO had a bigger budget this fight would have happened on regular HBO instead of being forced to HBO.
Its like the GGG vs Lemeiux fight in that regard. K2 coulda waited til the next year to put that fight on regular HBO or they had to make it a PPV. So the real problem with all of this isn't that Crawford can't be a worthwhile PPV draw at some point its that regular HBO's budget isn't conducive to making the top tier notable regular HBO caliber fights in a timely fashion. Thats the real issue.
