His next PPV will likely be 5K or less considering the running he did in that fight.

Man the guy is worse than Lara. Lara at least does the rope a dope which makes the audience jump with excitement as you've seen when Thurman was on the ropes. This Crawford guy was too terrified to engage. He looks good against small guys and Lundy level opponents, though.

Look at the Frampton vs Santa Cruz. See how good it looks when fighters engage and not run all night? That was 10x more deserving of PPV status.

Shouldn't Postol deserve some of the blame for the lack of engagement? I know he isn't a pressure fighter, but he could've at least thrown a jab in that example and maybe force Crawford's back to the ropes. I didn't watch the fight, so I can't speak for how inactive Crawford was. What were the CompuBox numbers?

Even with the fight being entertaining the numbers would still be the same but I think for future PPV events Crawford didn't do himself any favours.

This fight had to be on HBO in the first place because HBO blew their boxing budget on lil g's "BIG BUM SHOWS", Now lil g is taking his circus act over to the UK.

I don't think you could ever call an event that needed 75k buys to break even as having "flopped badly". Pacquiao vs Bradley III flopped badly for TR. Supposedly Arum lost $10M on that fight as rumored by Steve Kim who seems to have a solid relationship with TR.

I'm all for ****ting on Arum when he deserves it as I believe he's a piece of ****, BUT people need to realize that HBO wasn't putting Crawford vs Postol on regular HBO in 2016 so we are waiting for this fight til sometime in 2017 if Arum hadn't invested in Crawford's future with this fight. If Arum lost a mill or two on this fight he'll surely parlay that into money further down the line after TC's impressive performance.

Now if this fight would have did 100k buys & Arum made money, but TC had lost I'd say that woulda been a bigger flop then if it did 50k & TC won.

Didn't Crawford essentially get paid near enough the same that he did when he fought that last guy?
Was a PPV really that necessary, Crawford got paid 1+ mil and Postol got like what 600-700k?
HBO spends 25 percent of it's budget on Golovkin cherry picks.
