It was a close fight, not a robbery although I had LSC winning by a couple of rounds. It was a very even fight but LSC won the last 3 rounds which made the difference. It's difficult to give it to Frampton when he lost the last 3 rounds in such a close fight.

Frampton won. The score cards were off but the right man got the decision. Nobody could ever convince me LSC won 6 or more rounds in that fight. He won 4 or 5 rounds.

It was the flush punching man. They both landed around the same number but Frampton landed at a substantially higher clip and when he landed, the punches were right on the money, the type of shots that leave you saying "ouch" when they land. Those punches leave an impression and Frampton was the one ending most of the exchanges which also leaves an impression.

I had him [lsc] down 4-1 heading into the 6th.

People only seem to count punches in fights these days.. what about all the defence and head movement of Frampton, too?

The second half of the fight was competitive stuff, but the first half was pretty clear-cut, close but Frampton rounds for the main part. Unless my eyes deceived me and it was someone else doing the disco duck in round two.

This was exactly like the Thurman vs Porter fight, one guy does the cleaner work, more effective work, the other guy puts in volume with not as many eye catching punches landing.

I thought Frampton took it, 8-4 or 7-5.

True: the Compubox stats is as shown above...
... Frampton, instead, landed in a more impressive manner...

                  LSC, round two:

Nobody ever gets a round for head movement yeah he was decent at that hardly perfect whittaker i remember his head being up resembling a giraffe at certain stages only for cruz to deliver (weak) straight rights but because his head was so high it made the punches look huge

Frampton is finished if he ever fights rigo maybe i just wanted cruz to win with the obvious duck of rigo, that lil black guy gotta eat sometime mayne

The only "robbery" was the 114-114 score changing a UD to MD

But a great fight and a close fight, no issue with the scoring, the right man left with the belt

For most of the fight, especially the first half, Frampton was much sharper

What's up is that Frampton won the fight in my opinion. I am a big Santa Cruz fan and thought he would KO Frampton. They may have both landed about the same number of punches. Frampton won more rounds because his punches clearly were harder and many of his punches landed perfectly. Many of Santa Cruz's punches were glancing blows that didn't land as cleanly as Frampton's punches. Why would two American judges rob their countryman of the decision? Frampton won the fight. Steve Farhood, an American who scored the fight for Showtime had Frampton winning 115 to 113 and Farhood is a good fight scorer.
