I thought Frampton clearly won, and I always score close rounds for the Champion. Frampton didn't throw as many, but his work rate was still good, and he got the better of most of the exchanges, and generally looked a lot more compact, and technically more assured than Santa Cruz. I actually thought Frampton would get the stoppage late on because he was countering well, and couldn't miss with his hooks.

Santa Cruz fkd up by fighting small. I was surprised by how tall he looked compared to Frampton, but he never used it, and just kept walking on to clean punches.

He should fight Quigg next IMO. That would be a shoot out for 5 or 6 rounds of war.

All in all though, I'm glad I stayed up until 5am to watch it, and I can't remember the last time I said that about a big fight.

some people think calzaghe beat hopkins even though he was hitting air and running into clean counters over and over. one constant in both fights was crowd was going nuts for both euro bums. that crowd is worth like 3 or 4 rounds.

From this simple equation I know it was a robbery

The second half was harder to score, but the first half was pretty clear-cut... I can't believe anyone seriously thought this was a robbery.

No robbery the right man won today and he was damn impressive I'd have Carl Frampton in the top 5 P4P rankings now.
First of all both of these ducks are no were near the P4P top ten. They both are ducking RIGO and I have no respect for ducks. They scream they want to fight the best but they both acknowledge Rigo as the best but when it comes to fighting him they say they want an exciting fight. Well rigo knocks them both out in under six rounds. Santa Cruz was exposed by great counter punching and movement. Frampton impressed me but against a limited pressure fighter. I truly believe rigo beats Frampton, Quigg, mares, Santa Cruz , Russell Jr and then it should be up to the networks to find someone to beat him. These guys are ducking the best and it's obvious.

no he doesnt, its his role in life. Some peoples purpose is to be a doctor, an academic, an elite athlete, other peoples purpose are to make sure people on boxing forums know that european boxers are limited

Straight up hopkins outboxed calazghe and made him look amateurish it the opposite of this fight basically
Zaghe got a win over hopkins by landing on arms and gloves with slaps and taking brutal counters in return
In this fight cruz probably landed the better punches, he landed some sickening straight rights in 4 or 5 rounds together with the workrate should have bagged those rounds frampton did **** all in this fight had a few good pot shots but seriously crazy how anyone could see this a frampton victory

Close fight but definitely not a robbery.. Frampton was just too smart and effective, 7-5 or even an 8-5 score card.

But had the fight been fought in LSC back yard maybe they would have gave it to him, hence why the poster thinks it was a robbery.

Quigg & LSC fan here. I thought Frampton clearly won the fight. He landed the cleaner, more effective punches throughout.
