I would like to see Russell and Selby earn their shot at Frampton by fighting each other. The winner fights Frampton. That sounds good to me.

To be honest I think Frampton is very live as against anybody from 122-126 including Rigo. Because he is a pretty complete fighter, I can see a way he can exploit all those guys, because they all have weaknesses including Russell and Rigo. They are all tough fights though, so should be good over the next year or two, lets find out who the best is.

I'm a Frampton supporter but I don't see him beating either Russell or Selby, too slick especially Russell.

I don't think he is. They only give lineal belts to their favorites.
People pay too much attention to lineal belts. There are fighters that could clean up most of their division and somehow never get the lineal belt, while other fighters get the lineal belt as soon as they move up or get a title.
            I personally think it's BS.

Wouldn't you like to see Russell vs. Selby?
I don't think Frampton will fight them until next year. Frampton deserves a title defense. One more fight and he should get Fighter of the Year.
I also still want to see Santa Cruz in the mix.

Mares -> Gonzalez -> Russell Jnr

pretty sure he is lineal unless Gonzalez had a loss that i forgot about

yeah id like to see Selby vs GRJnr too. Whichever fights they can make first. But i wouldnt say Selby or GRjnr need to earn the fight with Frampton

edit: now i look back, Mares wasnt lineal at 126. Not sure why i thought he was. Still a good win for Russell

I think Frampton decisions Selby in a close fight and loses a clear decision to Russell Jr

I didn't mean it too literal. Frampton was just in two big fights back to back. I just think Russell and Selby should be in a big fight, against each other, before they face someone like Frampton. Plus, like I said Frampton will probably have an easier title defense to end the year and probably get Fighter of the Year for 2016.
No excuse as to why Russell, Selby, and Santa Cruz can't mix it up in the meantime. I wish Russell would stay more active.
And hopefully Valdez can get into the mix as well. Some good fights to be made at 126.

This is an insane comment, the WBC 126 is most prestigious smaller weight belt and the lineage goes back to Larios. But they must earn a shot?
