This was a good competitive and even fight even according to the punch stats. I give alot of credit to Frampton for holding his own and giving as good as he got but I dont think he took the title as he was the challenger. You have to take the title and this fight was just too close. I think in most cases Mexican or of Mexican descent fighters in the U.S need a ko because the judges will go against them in close and even fights even if they are the champs and even against foreign fighters.

Robbery of the year Frampton won 6 rds at best if you scored the 12th even but Frampton clearly lost the 12th rd as he initiated 3 clintches. Santa Cruz was also the champ so Frampton should have had to win rds in a dominating fashion

The judges got it right. A draw would have been embarrassing despite what the Italian judge thought. Frampton had a good game plan. I didn't think he would be able to match LSC's work rate but he did. My one knock on LSC is he does the same thing every time. That will work if you're fighting a stationary target but Frampton changed his attack constantly. The only time LSC got the best of him was when he stayed in the pocket. Even then he did enough to make the rounds close. Frampton is on a different level than the opposition LSC was used to facing. A rematch will be interesting because I think LSC will do a lot better but if I'm Frampton I would enjoy this win and go on to bigger and better fights.

IMO a clear victory 4 Carl... the judge Guido that called it a draw was way off base still a very entertaining fight & Frampton may look 4 better pay days... already rumors of him fighting Rico, not right away but he won't beat Rigo...
