    • That fight was a ****in DRAW.

You needs doesn't know anything about boxing to pick Frampton winning.

Really this was a draw, and the stats of the matchup said much of this.

Very close fight. But both, Frampton and Leo are not elite fighters.

Valdez will murderer Carl or Leo, and Gary beats Leo o Carl in a clear DU.

        • Good fight

Props to Frampton, I thought Leo won 7-5

          • Good fight. I thought Frampton was really good on the night.

Frampton was the one moving up in weight against a bigger guy, a pressure fighter, but i thought the bookies under estimated Frampton, and probably over estimated SC. Frampton is the best guy SC has faced and always had the ability to force that fight to be fought in the way he wanted.

            Nice job Frampton
Good fight, with some tight rounds. I had it 8-4, maybe 7-5 Frampton.

            • WHAT.A.FIGHT.

Both guys showed they really wanted to win and didn't just want to coast. They ultimately showed they wanted to be more than just good, they wanted to be special. On a personal level, I'm chuffed with the results as I'm a huge Frampton fan but 2 of those cards were way off.

Anyway, I'd be up for a rematch somewhere in the UK with Frampton v Selby next year.

That's a very conclusive argument you got there. I don't know what fight you were watching but Santa Cruz moved forward most of the fight and was the one that was backing up Frampton. Frampton tried to fight from his back foot but it lasted only three rounds after that he was getting pushed back by Santa Cruz, the only times Santa Cruz moved back is to reset in order to set up another attack. Santa Cruz did do what he does best swarming his opponents by using lateral movement and getting angles to land those looping shots that seem to come from everywhere and not to mention the fact that he knows hot to punch in bunches in other words he is able to put his shots together and keep his hands moving.

'Frampton dictated the style of fight and Santa Cruz'

It was Santa Cruz who was dictating the pace of the fight, if that is what you menat to say and he was imposing his style more on Frampton that the other way and yes the right way to say it is 'imposing the style' and you can only impose it on another fighter not the actual fight. Just some knowledge for you.

'Not to mention Frampton landed the better shots and pretty much everyone scored the fight for him.'

It was Leo who landed the better cleaner shots and more of them. Saying that of course I have to admit it was a good back and forth battle but for me Leo dominated most of it. and the last part of your argument is just silly but you already knew that or not..hmm
That is exactly what I saw. I almost don't want to ready anybody else's comments. I had Santa Cruz winning that fight by a slim margin...he turned it on in the 2nd half. For me, Santa Cruz landed 2 clean power shots to every 1 Frampton threw...it just seemed liked Frampton was getting the better of Leo because the crowd would cheer every time he landed a good shot. Santa Cruz won that fight...but it was close. Frampton was fighting off his back foot nearly the entire time, not having any chance to set his feet when throwing...having to reset constantly against Santa Cruz's high activity. And even the few occasions when Frampton tried to take the fight to the inside, Santa Cruz was landing the better shots...it's why Frampton abandoned it. Props go out to both fighters for making it an entertaining fight. Money's worth.
