Solid win for Stevenson. Williams is tough fighter, who has good ability. However he's not an elite fighter and I'm not sure if he will be anymore than a contender.

But Williams would be one of best names in Kovalev resume, he hasn't fought any elite fighters either. You don't consider 67 y.o Hopkins or washed up super middleweight bodybuilder Pascal to be elite

Kovalev was struggling against that bum Chilemba for 12 rounds, while Stevenson murdered the bum of the same caliber in 4. Now I'm convinced Kovalev has no chances

Let's get one thing straight friend... Chilemba and Williams are NOT the same fighters. AND Kovalev was sick that fight. But, hey if you wanna take a chance with the bookies you may be surprised when your bank account is suddenly less than it was before the fight started. Kovalev/Stevenson will be an intriguing fight. Don't think for a second Kov will be a pushover.

This. Much better synopsis than grinding on Kov when he was sick his last fight. Whenever Kov/******man happens (within the next 2 years) you can bet on an all action fight.

Stevenson can't handle a pressure fighter with a chin. Kovalev is a pressure fighter but he has no chin. That's what makes that fight exciting. Too bad it will never happen. 50/50 fight.

True. Williams is on par with the Pascals, and Chilembas of the world. However the one thing we as fans can look forward to is a super fight between Kovalev and Ward. Assuming Ward wins next week.

With Stevenson he could go back to beating boarder line contenders again instead of fighting Legit Top 10 Light Heavyweights.

Stevenson just doesn't deserve to be ranked where he is and is a great example of the meaningless of lineal titles in such a politics-ridden sport.

Of course he just won a fight (against an opponent very few of you ever knew existed before thie week) and it's boxing scene so he's "back on top" but in reality his resume remains very mediocre.

Kovalev's resume is weak as well you're clearly bias but your ego is too big to admit it.

True but he would have better shot than the fighters that have been in the ring with Superman lately. Beterbiev is eventually going to be a real threat in the division. He just needs more fights and experience. But their is no question he has the talent to fight the best.
