    The double standards this guy comes up with are unreal.
    Haha, true.

    That's literally a complete double standard.

    And just to throw it out there, when Tarver lost to Harding, Roy and Johnson, he beat them all convincgly in the rematches unlike James Toney.

      This is Hopkins in his prime and would demolish the version of himself who fought taylor or trinindad for that matter. People watch too many karate kid old man master bull****.
      Sometimes I forget just how bruising and damaging a fighter Hopkins was at his best.

        "Head on center defense" is term we use in advanced boxing. This isn't boxing 101, this is boxing 1,001!

        "Head on center of defense" let's break it down

        Head = literally your head.
        Center = literally the center of your body
        Defense = literally your defense.

        So to conclude, the head sits on the center of the body mass while being defensive, hence "Head on center of defense, son!"

        This is an example of head on center defense:

        See that tight fade? We can purportalize this fade as being "head on center", the long pony tail in the back is the "defense", while the wave in the front/top is just for show...make sense now? Of course it doesn't because therealpugilist literally makes up terms!

              It's not even comparable and you're revising history.

                meaning he stands square

                weight should be on the rear leg, he keeps his on the front and his head centered instead of behind his lead shoulder

                your lead hand and shoulder should align with the centre line of your opponents body on defense

                this way you can defend with your hands to parry, if shots get past your hands you can block with the elbows, roll with the shoulder, or all fails roll with the punch with your head

                come on man, you guys talking boxing skills and dont even know simple aspects of the game

                  use common sense for once in your life man and stop trying to be some know it all and sarcastic

                  what does deliberate mean? carefully weighed or considered; studied; intentional:

                  characterized by deliberation or cautious consideration; careful or slow in deciding:

                  leisurely and steady in movement or action; slow and even; unhurried:
                  moving with a deliberate step.

                  Simply he fights a steady pace and if his style isnt imposed and he has to fight a faster pace, he gets unrattled.
