I am a massive Roy Jones Jr fan and of late it destoy`s me to see the great man losing fights against Tarver and Johnson when five years ago he would have showboated the way to a stoppage win, I was just wondering where in your Alltime lists would Roy Jones Jr be when he was at his best??

I know before people state it that he didnt fight Benn Eubanks and Collins this has already been said but the Fighters that he has fought and the Belts which he captured where does he stand???
Nowhere. Is like expecting Harrison Ford (a great actor) to win an Oscar. Nah!

Gerald McClellan was the #1 middleweight on every list back then, and even more talked about for his awesomeness than Jones was. Jones was #2.

He would have been essentially undefeated since we all know the disqualification vs. griffin was just a mistake by an overeager fighter. hen he revenged the "defeat" in a vicious 1st round ktfo a few months later. Anyway, my point is if he had retired after the first Tarver fight it wouldn't be so hard for people to accept him as a top 10-15 p4p fighter ever. But after his last 3 fights people struggle to place him in the top 30-40. Just an interesting way to look at it.
Jones is definately on my top 10. He had arguably the fastest hands in boxing in his prime and enough power to knock people on their asses if he wanted. Never more prevelant then when he knocked Griffin the feck out in the first round of their "rematch". As seen in this lovely picture: http://www.hboppv.com/web_exclusives...n_jones2.shtml

i was really disappointed when the dariusz-roy fight didn't happen, but i think jr. was truly one of the most gifted fighters of all-time. he couldn't be stopped, except when he did ****** crap like hitting someone when they're down(*cough* griffin). but he was a human-highlight reel. behind the back ko, the lock and load, the chicken dance, and didn't he beat someone while having a broken right hand, using only his left until the ko punch? when he fought, everyone watched because they knew they were getting a show. top ten is an understatement.
