Well, this throws Max Kellerman's theory about Manny willing to fight Crawford out of the window

According to Arum, Manny has already said yes to Crawford.

Roach is the one who doesn't want the Crawford fight because he sees TC as a really difficult fight for Manny. And he's probably right. Manny's pushing 40. Meanwhile TC is one of the best young fighters the sport has to offer.

I probably wouldn't want it either if I was in Roach's shoes.

Danny's undefeated and has an established name, and really is tailor made for Manny. If Manny plays it safe and doesn't get reckless (which could leave him open for that left hook bomb that Danny has, which would be DG's only chance), MP would cruise to a UD.

There's just no reason for Pacquiao to come out of retirement to fight a prime champion, or anybody else for that matter. I did want him to rematch Mayweather once he was cleared of his shoulder surgery, but as time goes on, my interest in that wanes.

Arum on the other hand, he's ready for the passing of the torch in his stable. He milked an absolute ton out of Manny, way more than he could have in his wildest dreams, and I think he's ready to sacrifice him once and for all. Bob is ready for TC to become his new #1.

Why? Roach is the one who said he would tell Pac not to take the fight. Pac will fight anyone his trainer or promoter tell him to, he doesnt really care to be honest he is just doing his job as a fighter.

It would be in Arums best interest to have Pac fight Crawford at this stage, great passing of the torch fight but only way that happens is if Crawford knocks Pac out, Crawford cannot fight like he did against postol, in order for him to shine he must put on a spectacular knockout or domination over Pac to have the world buzzing, if he doesn't do that the star power will not transfer, only other option he must do is go the mayweather route of talking trash Floyd was boring int he ring but he found a way to sell his fights by talking and having people hate him so much they wanted to see him lose.
