That is true but so sad the same doesn't seem to apply to Rigondeaux. Had he been a local, i believe he would have fit into that category.

Crawford is a more exciting fighter. He will get the knock downs and KO's more often than Rig and people know this. In his last 10 fights he has 5 KO's and even more knock downs

Rigondeaux while he's great to watch in the aspect of a purist like myself, his 6 KO's in his last 10 fights are deceiving. Like Wlad's KO ratio, but when you see a Wlad fight you're like damn he really needs the KO to end the boredom not for anything else. It's unfair because Rigo fights are seen as boring because he's too damn good, who wants to engage with him? No one, they get hit hard and back off for the rest of the fight, then Rigo has to end the uncompetitive fight with a stoppage for the sake of the fans

In a TC fight, you're like okay, I like this fight, hopefully he tops it off with a stoppage but so far I like the boxing/fighter style of this guy

He can market himself that way, doesn't mean it'll work. Crawford doesn't strike me as having that sort of vibe that can get under people's skin the way Mayweather did, no matter how much he trash talks.

I don't think this past weekends ppv will do to well BUT I do see a ppv future for TC. Haters are fans too and he is just that good. Eventually people will pay to hopefully see him lose, just like all the casuals that put $ in Floyds bank account to hopefully see him lose, TC will eventually get the same. Thoughts?

No...just no. This idea perpetuated by idiot fanboys of Floyd Mayweather that people pay top dollar to see him lose is ridiculous. You can't be a guy who sells out arenas unless people actually want to see you and like you. Whether it's because of your skill set or persona.

Most fighters that are highly skilled but don't win impressively when they should end up being pretty bad ticket sellers. The likes of Whitaker and Jones, 2 of the most skilled/talented fighters of my life time were never known outside of the hardcore because they were boring as *** most of the time. That's the rule for guys who don't want to or can't (physically) go the extra mile in winning fights.

Unless TC all of a sudden develops a media persona like that of Mayweather and has someone as popular as DLH and Pacquiao to play off for 8 years, he ain't gonna become anything more than a regional ticket seller (Ward says hi).

The real question should be.. when will the Mayweathers starts hating on Crawford. We all know how the Mayweathers get when people start comparing other fighters to Floyd or talk about how this fighter can surpass what Floyd did.

If he keeps taking and winning big fights, then i'm sure he could sell pretty well. Not massive though, i don't see him having the personality to sell really well. Which seems to be a key ingredient to casuals.

He's on the right track though. As it appears to me that he has more fans on NSB now than he previously did.
A win over Postol may win over boxing fans, but will do little for casuals, who do a lot of the PPV numbers. I just don't think they notice him much right now.

I know his team have been shrugging off a Pacquiao fight, but a win there (and now could well be a good time to catch Pacquiao), would take his popularity to the next level.
