If Floyd beat GGG @ 154, no one would give him any credit because they would say the defeat was due to weight draining. If I'm Floyd, Mayweather vs. Canelo II on Cinco de Mayo 2017!
Agreed. It might be Alvarez at 155 for the WBO next May. It won't be Pacquiao. Same reason Marquez won't fight Pacquiao. In all likelihood Mayweather is done.

The thing is once he moves up, they won't be able to land that Mayweather money fight (won't happen by the way).

If GGG moves up (I think they will) to 168 to get a title, they won't be back to 160.
All the possible money fights with 147 and 154 stars would be lost.

Wouldn't call Hagler a coward because he fought Duran and Leonard.

Why do you guys bring up Duran and Leonard, there was no smw division back then so division after WW was MW, you guys gotta give that argument a break now lil g could of picked any smw instead picked a WW

I think Floyd vs GGG would be bigger than what people think.

Sht would do very big numbers.

The power of people wanting to see Floyd lose, even amongst the casuals would be a strong factor.

Maybe bigger than a somehow useless Floyd vs Nelo 2.

The big money fight still is Floyd vs Pac 2.

Is Canelo still the lineal MW champion? If he is then 155, if not 154! Belts actually don't matter when it's Mayweather vs. Canelo II. That's an easy 2 million PPVs.

I think GayLoveKin has missed the boat in terms of big money fights, and legacy fights. Floyd's retired and doesnt need to move to 160 to prove anything, canelo is obviously stuck believing he's not a MW and calls the shot vs anyone. Ward has moved up and GayLoveKin will be quite ineffective at 175 imo. There's no money there. He should've bit the bullet and gone down to fight Canelo. The best he can hope for is the British fans take to him, he beats brook, and then could maybe get a fight with Eubank Jr. At that point if he wants anyone to call him legit, he'll have to go to 168 and fight a top level fighter there, hope for a win, and maybe something big will come down the line. Perhaps the winner of Ward vs Kovalev, but he'd lose to either, so that will be that for him. Maybe 1 or 2 good names on his resume. His career has been steered all wrong, and is being viewed more and more as a joke.

At this point, regarding PPV numbers, I think Canelo would net the most, especially on Cinco de Mayo weekend!

Not true, I really like and know Duran's career, and believe me, he beat Moore for the SMW title just before fighting Hagler.

GGG team picked Eubank, and Eubank senior started to ask werd things so GGG was left without any fight, they already did wait after Nelo, so they made the Brook fight thanks to Hearn.
