Hopkins or Toney - who was better?

Hopkins or Toney - who has, all around, proven to be the best of them during their careers? To me, Hopkins was always clearly better than Toney, but some disagree.

IMO, Toney is better except in the discipline department.

Toney had more natural talent but lacked one of the most important things in boxing=Discipline...So to answer the question Hopkins was far superior because he brought it all together and was disciplined and dedicated enough to keep them together..Hopkins also had better boxing IQ..Toney got by on natural talent and defines the term=HARD WORK BEATS TALENT WHEN TALENT DOESNT WORK!!!!!!!!

Hopkins had the better career because he was a much smarter man...

Toney was so talented but just ****** and lazy with training. A James Toney with an elite work ethic becomes an ATG in my book. The best chin in any combat sport I reckon.

Toney has better skills and more talented... Just didn't have hopkins' professionalism..

But toney was a greater talent,,, the dude was fat and didn't train and could still go hard with any heavyweight in the world

          Hopkins better career
          Toney greater talent

Toney was one of the most talented dudes ever, has a lot of gifts.

Hopkins lived the life though, took the sport more serious.

It's quite hard to pick who was better since it depends what you are looking for.

For me I have to say Hopkins, I respect the grind more than just being born with crazy talent

Toney. Hopkins played his career out better but James had skills that few in boxing ever attain.
