        play it out before spazzing

        1) the WBA making a Twitter post about calling for the fight, doesn't mean that the relevant parties were notified.

        2) Once Main Events (Kovalev) and Sauerlands (Braehmer) are notified, which is likely for next week if the post proves to be true, the free negotiation period of 30 days will begin [Assuming the official notification goes out on Monday, the free period extends until August 24th, a full three weeks after Andre Ward fights Alexander Brand].

        3) No different than other mandatory situations, there's nothing stopping Main Events and the Sauerlands from coming to an agreement before the deadline where the Sauerlands get the German TV rights on the fight, Braehmer gets to fight as the chief support on the PPV (against whomever who is rated by the WBA who they can get for the fight), and the Sauerlands get a written agreement that Braehmer fights the winner of Kovalev-Ward.

        4) If the negotiations are going well between the parties (which should be the case), Main Events and the Sauerlands should be able to apply for an extansion of the negotiating window, pushing the end of the free negotiation period into September 2016 (while also pushing the 100 days to stage the fight through the end of year and into January 2017, a full 8-10 weeks after the date for Kovalev-Ward).

The winner of Kovalev-Ward either has to fight Adonis Stevenson for the WBC belt, or fight Braehmer.

In a letter dated July 20, 2016, WBA Championship Committee Chairman George Martinez notified WBA Unified light heavyweight champion Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (30-1, 26 KOs), the undefeated knockout artist from Kopeysk, Russia, to inform him that his mandatory opponent is WBA World light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer (48-2, 35 KOs), from Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.

Virgil Hunter probably paid off the WBA so Ward could duck Kovalev. I knew Ward was never going to fight Kovalev!

                ****ing WBA....

so they order the WBA "unified champ" to fight their WBA "world champ".... WTF is this chit and why do they have so many god damn belts in the same division for the same organization... this chit is ridiculous and all about collecting as many sanctioning fees as they can by creating as many belts as they can.
