Agree again. It's like, "Yeah ok, Canelo is ducking the fight. So now what?" Are we gonna sit here and talk about Canelo and wait and hope one day he makes the fight while we take on this sort of opposition? I'm not buying. He wants a big money fight but won't make sacrifices for it so he gets left holding his d*ck. And it will continue. Can't blame Canelo for everything.

it sounds like you're implying that these "challenges" are at 168 or 175 lbs, where you can kiss the alvarez fight goodbye.



golovkin, for the record, has beaten 6 top 10 middleweights, which is more than any other active fighter in the last 3-4 years. but somehow these aren't challenges? again, implying, by the sound of it, that you think he's not challenged by contenders at 160, adn that he shold move to 168, and kiss the biggest fight in boxing goodbye.

In one breath, Garcia said he doesn't agree with this fight. In the next breath, he said he doesn't blame the fighters. He even said some of his fighters might someday do the same thing that Brook is doing. Ok, we all know it's a mismatch & we also know what precipitated this fight. Hell, Canelo didn't get nearly as much shit for ducking Golovkin (and he got a LOT), as Golovkin is for fighting Brook. Most of the same people complaining about it will be right in front of their tvs on fight night watching it. All of your complaining isn't going to stop it, so just STFU & enjoy it for as long as it lasts. Or are all of you going to bitch about it right up until the opening bell?

One thing Kell Brook has going for him ... he wants to fight Golovkin now, not sometime next year, like Ward and Canelo. You have to give him respect for that.

Definitely. You have to give him a lot of respect for taking the fight Canelo didn't want, the fight Saunders didn't want, the fight Jacobs didnt want, the fight Eubank didn't want...

All things considered, Brook may very well be the best available...and willing...competition for this fight.

Yeah, that's how I see it. But if he wants to sit around and hope that this fight finally happens, fine. And if that means fighting nondescript middleweights and welters for 2-4 years until then, Ok. Look, I get it. He wants a big money fight. All that legacy, unifying, most feared talk, etc. is just BS for media and dumb fans to eat up. But anyway, he certainly doesn't have a leg to stand on in terms of star power or legacy or he'd already have that big fight. And he's not willing to make any sacrifices. So he can continue to sit around and hope it falls in his lap but I don't see it happening. We'll see.
