Why else would he be on the undercard?

Not like Warren had any leverage to demand who be's on the undercard.

No way it's PPV though and it won't get him that money he's crying for

The obvious question would be at what weight?
Surely you cannot go back to 154, fight for a title and go to 160 and fight for another title.. Saunders has said he will not go below 160 for anyone.. Let's see if money talks..

Also if and that's a big if, Canelo fights against Saunders and wins, he would have the belt leverage over Golovkin which he desires to unify.. That should be interesting then..

It is a condition shared by Canelo Alvarez, Gennady Golovkin, Deontay Wilder and Adonis Stevenson. For example, Canelo wants to fight at 160. He just doesn't want to fight Golovkin. So, he fights the weakest opponents he can get while continuing to talk s...t about how bad Golovkin is and how he (Canelo) wants to fight the best opponents. It is similar to the situation in which Golovkin was willing to go to 168 to fight Chavez Jr. or Froch, but not Andre Ward. Yet, a the same time, Golovkin was calling out a guy who started and spent half his career at 130 (Mayweather).

Doesn't seem to make much sense building up your body by dropping a pound since your last fight.

I hope Canelo does fight Saunders.

Then if GGG's team are smart, which they are, they'll next match GGG with Avtandil Khurtsidze who is the #1 contender for WBO. K should take the fight because it'll be huge money for him. If GGG beats him he's WBO #1 contender and becomes the mandatory for WBO. So if Canelo does beat Saunders he's in a repeat situation with GGG as his mandatory. What's he going to do? Vacate again?

The net is closing and Khurtsidze is the key to it.

How would he have belt leverage? Its 1 belt against 3... If anything it puts more pressure on him to fight GGG.

ode to Billy Joe-get a pair of balls and man up for once-wimp

Billy Joe is the 1-D middleweight champ with a worthless belt and scared to fight GGG or Jacobs but looks to the smaller Canelo. Kell Brooks showed everyone who has the courage to fight GGG. Billy Joe is more female than male. Fringe fighter few skills and even still scared of Eubanks.

He should go straight to 160. His fight night weight 171-175 is typical from middleweights. He can jump directly into it. Rosado first, then BJS or Golovkin.

The Belt organizations do not rank you if you are already a champ of another organization. That's why it was an odd exception that GGG was mandatory to Sergio/Cotto/Canelo.

If the WBO said they'd allow that, I would completely agree. Fortunately, Mexican fans are not going to put up with this s***, and I believe Canelo will ultimately be forced into fighting GGG.
