And boxing fans wonder why the popularity of the sport has been in steady decline. This is a textbook scenario of the schenanigans promoters, management, and the boxers themselves have been getting away with for years. I dont care if Can-yellow or ******* Saunders fight or not but it shouldn't be sanctioned by and of the governing body's nor should it be set a title fight. Should Canelo wins or loses, then he gets nothing other than a paycheck, and should BJS lose, he should be stripped of his title and the belt forfeited to the next #1 mandatory challenger. Neither of these two duckers, should be rewarded in any way (title wise) when they both have flat out refused to fight GGG.

Neither wanted a fight to risk a loss to GGG and neither wanted to take an ass beating for what most sensible boxers would consider ample money. Chicken **** character and greed for undeserved paychecks always flush out the pretenders from the real contenders. Lara ain't **** anyways. This is damage control dreamt up by Oscar & co, to cover the Golovkin duck. It's meant to sucker fans into paying PPV $$ for Canelo's upcoming fights, with the anticipation of him facing Golovkin next year. Those who fall for this ruse will buy Cinnamon sugar ****' next 2-3 fights, hoping that a GGG fight comes up soon afterwards. Now if Golovkin appears to age and lose a step in his upcoming fights, Oscar will make the fight with Cantnelo. However, if Gennady continues to look like a powerhouse KO artist who never even appears slightly hurt, Oscar will keep his cash cow safe & not match them.
