Liam Beefy Smith is actually pretty Badass

When I first heard Canelo was gonna fight Liam Beefy Smith I thought "what a joke", like everyone else. But after watching some of the boy's fights I gotta say I'm impressed by the skills I see. The kid's a beast.

Turn up the volume and watch this highlight of Beefy, the guy ain't no joke. He's slick af and undefeated for a reason.

Don't get me wrong Canelo should still be criticized for ducking GGG and is still the heavy favorite in this fight, but I see Beefy (who is on an 8 fight KO streak) putting up a helluva fight before getting stopped.

Can Beefy shock the world? Thoughts?

I have not watched any highlights of him prior to this youtube video.
It seems like he likes to fight mid- to inside.

Canelo definitely have the hand speed advantage. Canelo only KOs smaller fighters or fighters with known weak chin so I hope Smith has at least have a decent chin.

Dont fool yourself any half decent boxer looks great against taxi drivers and dish washers not one of those guys were fighting back. The cherrypicker will come into the ring at 180+ pounds and destroy smith if he fails the judges are prepaid. The drunk fans will be screaming for every missed shot making it seem like hes landing.

Why is his nickname beefy? It looks like he'll give Alvarez at least 10-15 lbs fight night.

Smith ain't a bad fighter and I've been watching him for years now but he isn't anywhere near the top 4 or 4 in the division, which is where Canelo should be fighting.

He's a decent enough fighter. Well rounded, fundamentals nailed down.
Canelo though is on another level.

He's not bad at all and he definitely isn't a bum. I'm not quite sure he's at the top level though. All the Smith brothers are fundamentally good but the two older ones Stephen and Paul just fell short of world class. Liam and Callum are meant to be the better fighters of the brothers.

Win, lose or draw, Liam has an opportunity to show what he can or can't do.

It's not every day you see a 27 year old silver fox.

                I'll give him that

Is Canelo really a top 4 LMW? I'm not so sure.

                  That division is heating up.
