So which is it, fighting "A-level" guys is more important or generating the most attention?

As things stand Ward ran up to 175lbs to avoid the more talented fighter that and since his return he never once fought at 168lbs the only person to blame for it not happening is Ward.

I dont care about that A side B side crap fight....who makes what crap....GGG vs brook is a joke....fighting A class opposition is and being a star is literally 2 things GGG and K2 know nothing about.

No, the point is Ward could have waited and fought the guys at 168 the good guys of that division but instead, he moved up to 175 called out SMW's to move up to fight him and fought nobodies you claim this Kovalev fight is everything yet who has Kovalev beat by your standard his resume is weak too or perhaps it's just weak because he isn't American.
Funny isn't it, soon as the Yanks are dominating the division is in a great state but when it's not a Yank the division suck and get no attention prime example the Cruiserweight division lol

As a boxing fan I'm excited to see entertaining fights not clinch fests.

GGG was the WBA champ because the WBA made him the "regular" champ. Who's fault is it that the WBA has 2 champions? Who's fault is that? Keep the hype up there, hype man.

Because JCCjr had a bigger fanbase, & thus the money justified the risk--in order to secure that money, offering JCCjr his optimum weight of 168 would further entice him to take the bout. Same with Froch.

Many title bouts have involved catchweights. The terms they laid out included a catchweight of 155lbs. Per your logic, GGG should have moved down.

Also, in theory, Canelo was also capable of negotiating another catchweight of 157 or 158. But he wouldn't budge off of 155. If GGG was being difficult by not wanting at 155, Canelo was reciprocating by not wanting to move off of 155. GGG's justification to fight at 160 has more rationale in comparison to Caneloweight 155.
